The Director, Sales is responsible leading the various sales operations and teams supporting all current and future Storyliving by Disney™ properties. The Director, Sales will report to the VP, Sales Experience and Strategy.

This executive position will provide overall leadership for the sales organization ensuring sales results, profit growth, brand integrity, effective communication, innovative thinking and expansion/change management to implement key initiatives. Key areas of focus will include training and development of the Cast Members, performance management, consumer incentives, tour generating programs, annual Cast incentives/compensation planning, sales strategies, financial planning/forecasting and supporting the development of future sales teams. The Director, Sales will be the sales subject matter expert and act as a key integrator with external collaborators, including landowners, developers and builders.

Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for ensuring all sales operations are aligned and partnering closely with leadership across Storyliving by Disney. This includes working closely with key partners to develop and implement strategies that will drive qualified lead generation and increased sales. Critical partners will include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Walt Disney Imagineering, Human Resources and onsite operations leadership.

Additionally, the Director of Sales will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with builders, ensuring timely reporting of all sales performance activity, and sales teams are appropriately representing each builder.

This role will provide day to day leadership of sales teams while at the same time present and effectively communicate with Executives, Community leaders, and our external partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven track record and demonstrated executive-level sales leadership experience
  • Strong organizational, process, and emotional intelligence
  • Minimum 8-10 years demonstrated ability in sales management/strategic development within real estate, preferred experience within Master Planned communities with multiple single family home builders
  • Proven experience working with partners in quantitative disciplines, such as Finance, Research or Industrial Engineering
  • Proven ability in understanding and acting upon sales trends, business analytics and consumer behaviors
  • Demonstrated strong integration, analytical, strategic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in broadly influencing internal and external stakeholders, building strategic alliances/relationships, and working with all levels and across various business units within an organization
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills and strong individual/team development expertise
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience building teams and cultures through start ups or standing up new divisions/departments
  • Disciplined organizational skills in all aspects of job performance with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated strong project management experience with a sense of urgency, follow up and execution
  • High integrity and understanding of the value of the Disney brand
  • Active Real Estate license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with leading sales teams for master planned communities

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent

  • MBA
