About the Role & Team

The Information, Design & Experience (IDX) team is passionate about delivering rich and insightful information to all areas and levels of Disney Vacation Club (DVC), by leveraging data, analysis and self-designed, cutting-edge presentation tools to enable superior business performance. The IDX team is part of the Business Operations organization within Disney Vacation Club, and plays a vital role by leading, strategizing and implementing business intelligence consumption for the entire DVC Organization by developing, measuring and supporting business strategies as well as delivering industry-leading Cast Pay and Performance processes. IDX accomplishes these capabilities with our team developments, internal partnerships, and with external vendors and software/data suppliers.

Members of the IDX team should be driven by excellence and have a passion for real-time data, analysis, reporting, automation and learning new information technologies. This position performs a leading role in DVC Business Intelligence to produce actionable insights derived from creative problem-solving and sophisticated data developments. Our process involves deep levels of internal and external data synthesis using a variety of programming and visualization tools. As an IDX Analytics Manager you will also concentrate on refining actionable insights into easy-to-understand concepts that give our partners decision making clarity with the ability for ongoing measurement and tracking. You will be the primary analytics leader for the Sales Intelligence Forum (SIF) that focuses on high-priority analytical projects.

The IDX Analytics Manager reports to the Manager, IDX Analytics.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do

  • Leadership: Leads Analytics projects with all levels of business partners and all departments within DVC. Strategizes the best measurement approaches, and proactively communicates important trends.

  • Provide Insights: Using Tableau, AI/ML tools, and other/future tools provide visual insights to business leaders and executives to help guide business decisions and awareness (as well as ad hoc data requests), develops and implements supporting backend business-logic automation, reporting. Also analyzes data flow processes for continued optimization.

  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Analyze user behavioral data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create common understanding of how people are interacting with DVC and how that translates positively or negatively to success.

  • Partnership: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities, and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.

  • Data Quality: As a subject matter expert on internal/external data sources, ensure anomalies/bugs are escalated and if needed workarounds developed to ensure the data is as clean as possible, as these KPIs will become the source of truth for various groups.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of analytical experience.

  • 5+ years’ work experience using SQL or equivalent data programming language.

  • Proven experience with data exploration and data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau, SSRS, Dataiku, R, Python, etc.

  • Understanding of statistics concepts (hypothesis testing, regression analysis).

  • Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information.

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations simply to all levels of leadership.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking skills and business acumen.

  • Ability to identify and handle issues proactively and decisively with limited direction and oversight.

  • Proven understanding of Marketing, Sales and Finance processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years Python/R or other statistical programming language.

  • Experience with advanced data modeling and predictive analytics.

  • HTML, etc. programming a plus.

  • App development a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Math or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in Data Mining & Analysis, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance or equivalent experience.
