Understanding consumers and exceeding guest expectations is core to the success of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products! The Consumer Insight team is a key part of Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics. We nurture coordinated, holistic insights that keep consumers at the heart of decisions and positively influence business performance.

To enable the continuous development of metrics and rich insights, our capabilities include primary quantitative and qualitative market research, structured and unstructured data management and analysis from social and internal sources, and the development and maintenance of sophisticated technology platforms. Additionally, we use an extensive array of secondary sources and partner with external agencies to gain deeper understanding of market trends.

What You Will Do

Lead a holistic social listening strategy for the Disney Experiences segment, including utilization of social listening tools and platforms to conduct ongoing and ad hoc analysis. Collaborate with key partners to ensure awareness, alignment, and integration of all social listening efforts and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to them. Use modern data visualization tools and techniques to present findings and insights in a compelling and understandable manner. Lead and manage a team of social listening analysts that develop timely and actionable insights. Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends and best practices in social media and social listening and make recommendations for continuous improvement related to tools and platforms, data sourcing, analysis and integration of AI. Develop and manage budgets for social listening tools and resources.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years experience in social listening or related analytical field

  • Strategic problem solver with ability to quickly identify and address business questions/needs

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with partners

  • Effectively translate data and analysis into compelling presentations / written communications

  • Experience sharing a point of view and influencing partners verbally and in written form

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into impactful and valuable insights

  • Expertise with social listening platforms (Quid, Infegy, Brandwatch or other)

  • Effectively manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously

  • Flexible and adaptable – adjusts easily to changing priorities and continuously evolving sophisticated business issues

  • High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience leading and developing teams

  • Experience partnering with and managing vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced with Tableau, Power BI or other dashboarding tool

  • An understanding of natural language processing and large language models

  • Strong familiarity with Disney franchises and character IP, especially as it relates to their use in Disney consumer products, gaming and publishing

  • Deep understanding of the Disney theme parks offerings, and the relationship that consumers and guests have with them

  • An understanding of the non-parks Disney experiences businesses, including the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani Resort and Storyliving by Disney

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, sociology, psychology, business, economics or related field

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social sciences, business, analytics or other relevant field preferred
