About the Role & Team

Disney Cruise Line Revenue Management is responsible for fleet-wide pricing, revenue planning, and inventory control. The Disney Cruise Line Revenue Management Analyst works closely with their leader to improve shipboard revenue. This position is responsible to report on shipboard revenue and develop pricing strategies to meet revenue goals. The role is responsible for working with other shoreside teams to develop, analyze and implement pricing strategies.

What You Will Do

Reporting and Data Processing

  • Work with Technology, Operations, and other Revenue Management teams to build automated reporting & data processes
  • Evaluate, suggest, and implement improvements and changes to department processes and reports that currently use Python, SQL, and Tableau
  • Provide backup to other team members in creating weekly reporting on Guest shipboard spending
  • Develop reporting to analyze the business from a variety of data sources for viewers across the organization

Revenue Strategy and Pricing

  • Leverage data and strategic thinking to ad hoc projects to assist in achieving short & long term revenue goals
  • Develop pricing recommendations and strategies though data driven recommendations
  • Partner with various departments (including Marketing, Research, Guest Communications and various Lines of Business) to develop, implement and evaluate pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop pricing strategies
  • Apply data analysis and critical thinking to ad hoc projects that increase revenue potential

Other

  • Create management/executive communication
  • Partner with Technology to monitor system changes and processes
  • Partner across Revenue Management to aid in charter quotes and other processes

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 0-2 years experience +internship experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and/or other programming languages
  • Experience creating reporting in Tableau (or similar BI Tools) and SAP
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and meticulous, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results
  • The ability to explain complex analytics in a way that is easily understandable and executable and enjoy “storytelling” to engage and influence your audience.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, and the ability to think holistically.
  • Natural curiosity and inquisitiveness and enjoy solving problems and answer questions
  • The ability to work in a team environment, in person and virtually, with a positive demeanor.
  • The capability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Revenue Management, Pricing, Finance or Cruise Industry experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
