The Sales Manager role is responsible for developing new group business opportunities for the Walt Disney World Resort. In this role, the Sales Manager will identify, acquire, and convert targeted meeting opportunities through a variety of sales activities which may include in-market travel. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with group and convention business experience. They will possess the ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives against an assigned market. This role is responsible for driving high revenue meetings to the Walt Disney World Resort. Strong business acumen, meetings expertise, and hospitality sales experience is required.

You will report to the Sales Director - Resort Sales

This is a Full-Time position.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop meeting opportunities through new business acquisition, sales calls, tradeshows, and other sales activities

  • Develop targeted sales plans against assigned markets

  • Design and host site inspections and client entertainment opportunities

  • Craft creative meeting and event solutions representative of the Disney brand

  • Represent the Disney brand in all client interactions

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least three years of experience in Resort/Group/Convention Hotel Sales, National Sales, Global Sales, or Catering Sales

  • Hospitality experience in a group/convention sales environment within the past two years

  • Experience in sophisticated and complex groups

  • Demonstrated client management and knowledge of market conditions and buyers in national and competitive marketplaces

  • Proficiency with Digital selling, virtual site visits, and Social Media technology in a sales environment

  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-Hotel or Cluster Sales

  • Destination Management Organizations & Hotel Experience combined is a plus

  • Experience in the Orlando market

  • Luxury brand experience

  • Industry accreditation (CMP, CASE, CHSE)

  • Participation in a local/regional/national hospitality industry organization

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
