About the Role & Team:
Disney Cruise Line Deployment & Itinerary Planning is responsible for planning itineraries & destinations for the current and future fleet. The Senior Analyst Deployment Planning & Strategy will help compile itineraries and seasons, evaluate destinations, identify new deployment opportunities, and optimize existing deployment to align with stated financial and strategic goals. This position will influence recommendations through market analysis, competitive research and qualitative / quantitative analysis to help drive the strategic and detailed fleet deployment.
This role will partner with internal partners including Revenue Management, Marketing & Sales, Marine Department, and Operations as well as external partners including Port Officials, Port Agents and Destination Representatives to develop comprehensive recommendations that align with operational constraints while optimizing commercial opportunities.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Deployment Planning and Strategy.
This role is a Full-Time role.
What You Will Do:
Analyze itinerary performance metrics, revenue data, and market trends to identify financial, operational and guest satisfaction opportunities
Complex analysis of the financial and operational considerations of deployment options
Support the development of all deployment and itinerary plans for the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet of ships
Develop tools and models that help streamline analysis into actionable insights
Participate in cross-functional teams to understand perspectives from Marketing & Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Safety & Security and Public Affairs, as it relates to destination selection for itineraries
Perform due diligence and develop recommendations for new itineraries and deployments
Develop and manage processes to understand industry competitive landscape in all key regions of the world
Support cruise planning and scheduling processes with key partners, including ports authority and port agents
Support and participate in port strategy planning sessions and coordination, including analyzing agreement terms and modeling future capacity analysis
Analyze and provide suggestions for opportunities to optimize itineraries from a revenue and cost perspective
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working in Cruise Line Deployment, Itinerary Planning, Port Operations, Finance, or Revenue Management
Experience obtaining and interpreting data from multiple sources and leveraging that data to develop compelling recommendations
Maintain positive working relationships within and outside of the Disney organization
Knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
Creative, passionate and innovative thinker – excited about the possibilities of the future
Excellent proficiency in Excel (create, maintain, and augment complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and Tableau
Skilled in crafting concise recommendations from complex ideas
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities with limited guidance and/or supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Data Analytics
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
Experience with SQL and Seaware
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field and/or 5+ years of equivalent work experience
