The Sr. Manager, Tech & Engineering Business Operations will report directly to the Executive, Technical Business Operations and partner closely with the Tech & Engineering Leadership Team. He/she will develop and execute the business and financial objectives of Tech & Engineering through disciplined financial management, portfolio-level planning, and strong cross-functional partnerships.

This role interfaces regularly with WDI Finance, technology project teams, and peer Studio operations managers to support executive decision-making across a complex portfolio of technology investments. This may hold responsibility for annual budgets up to $150m.

You will report to the Executive, Technical Business Operations, and partner closely with the Tech & Engineering Leadership Team.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain smooth operations of Tech & Engineering with a focus on financial planning, governance, and execution, including:
    • Partnering closely with WDI Finance to lead financial planning, management, and structuring across studio budgets totaling $150M annually
    • Drive portfolio-level financial planning and prioritization, balancing investment, risk, capacity, and long-term strategic value across technology and R&D initiatives
    • Supporting capitalization processes and ensuring alignment with financial plans
    • Managing cross-studio funding and financial alignment, including forecasting, accountability, and transparency
    • Partnering with WDI Finance to complete segment-level and corporate planning activities, including 5-year plans and annual operating plans
  • Serve as the primary financial partner to Technology and R&D project teams by:
    • Leading a regular forecasting and review cadence with project leads and/or Technical Program Managers (TPMs)
    • Identifying financial risks, opportunities, and trade-offs across active initiatives
    • Providing financial guidance to support course correction and decision-making through data-driven analysis
  • Act as a strategic sounding board for business development and new initiative planning by:
    • Reviewing proposed work to ensure alignment with annual budgets and long-range plans
    • Supporting business case development and financial analysis for new or emerging ideas

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, business management, finance, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budget management
  • Experience developing or refining processes in complex organizational environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex business, technical, and organizational relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial and operational data into actionable insights
  • Passion for technology and experience design
  • Strong work ethic, curiosity, and comfort operating in ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting
  • MBA
  • Experience supporting technology, engineering, or R&D organizations
  • 3–4 years of experience in product management or technical program management

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Business Management, Finance or Related Field Required

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $129,300 - $177,000. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
