The Sr. Financial Accounting Analyst will provide accounting and business support for the Disney Vacation Club Condominium Associations from both a financial reporting and budget development aspect. We are seeking a finance professional who will develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Ideal candidates will possess experience in financial statement preparation and presentation (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) with a background in conforming with GAAP.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and analyzes financial results
  • Ensures the annual operating forecast for each Association aligns with changes in the business and influences partners to ensure alignment with budget guidelines
  • Supports workstreams on behalf of all the Associations that could include property taxes, insurance, bank transfers and regulatory compliance
  • Prepares financial statements and develops variance explanations for presentation to executive leaders
  • Consolidates the annual dues budget for multiple Associations
  • Recommends and implements process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting  
  • Proficient in all aspects of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong advanced Excel modeling skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data and ensure accuracy
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Proven ability to perform ad hoc analysis in a fast-paced dynamic environment and ability to work with a sense of urgency and curiosity
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player with solid interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in providing financial support within the Timeshare industry
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Longview and Power BI
  • Experience with Fund Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
