The Senior Manager, Business Affairs will be an integral team member of the Disney Experiences Business Affairs organization, representing the Yellow Shoes business unit. This Senior Manager, Business Affairs is an agency leader overseeing a team of Business Affairs experts who specialize in SAG-AFTRA and non-union production contracts, vendor and talent estimates, talent residual agreements, music licensing, contracts, rights and trademark clearances for proposed branding, taglines, signage and design. The Senior Manager, Business Affairs works in partnership with TWDC legal counsel across Disney Parks, Disney Signature Experiences, and Disney Consumer Products.
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Business Affairs is regarded as THE expert for Business Affairs/Legal/Franchise/Contracting solutions by others within the agency and across the broader Marketing & Sales organization. The Senior Manager will apply in-depth understanding of how Business Affairs/Legal/Franchise/Contracting specialty integrates with Yellow Shoes and Legal systems and processes. They will solve unique and complex problems that have broad impact on the business. The Senior Manager possesses conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions when reviewing creative/content materials and advise on talent, copyright and intellectual property issues, assess scripts, social/digital content, rough-cuts, and final creative for risk of clearance concerns (in tandem with TWDC legal counsel). The role will lead other Business Affairs cast members within Yellow Shoes and partner closely with The Walt Disney Company (TWDC), members of Disney Experience’s creative, marketing, production, legal, finance, PR and franchise management groups.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of marketing, advertising, business affairs or legal affairs experience
- An advocate for the Business Affairs team who will train, guide and mentor other members of the team
- Drives a consistent way of working across teams, lines of business, and partners
- An expert in a variety of communication media including video, digital, email, social, display and the production process supporting each…particularly digital/social media both domestic and international
- High ability to influence others internally/externally including senior leaders
- Proven track record of communicating complex ideas, anticipating potential objections and persuading others, often with senior levels, to adopt a different viewpoint
- Accomplish tasks with accuracy against multiple, high-priority projects and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain high level of respect from others within the agency (including leadership), TWDC legal counsel and across the broader TWDC organization
- An advocate for project management applications (e.g. Workfront, SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- International experience
- Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA Talent Residual parameters
- Knowledge of music rights/usage
Required Education
- 4-year Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education
- Paralegal Certificate
- Legal/Law (JD) Degree

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA, is $118,900.00-$159,500.00 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation and the level and position offered.
