Job Summary:

The Disney Signature Experiences Government Relations team is looking for a Sr Specialist, Government Relations (internal assignment/project hire)! This team supports Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, Disney Vacation Club, Storyliving by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, Golden Oak and Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. 

In this role you will demonstrate success by thinking strategically, researching and analyzing complex topics, and have an advanced understanding of the government relations landscape. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Government Relations.

Please note that this role is a temporary assignment/project hire in Celebration, Florida, through Dec. 27, 2026. There is no guarantee of permanent placement.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identify, analyze, and track local, state and federal legislation, policy and rules that could potentially impact businesses.
  • Monitor, watch and report out on government meetings and hearings in key business markets.
  • Lead development of briefing reports that may focus on political landscape, government officials, and business markets for internal audiences.
  • Support communication of Government Relations strategies and work by creating presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with managing external stakeholder relationships, particularly among government and staff, by maintaining updated contact lists and facilitating meetings as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Strategic understanding of business objectives and outcomes associated with government affairs. 
  • Demonstrated research skills and strong analytical critical thinking skills.
  • Proven organizational and planning skills with attention to detail, and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creativity to find innovative solutions and improve reporting, storytelling, and other aspects of government relations.
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate as an effective team member.
  • Excellent written communication skills. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with local, state, or federal government, especially in the capacity as an aide or staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, Public Relations OR equivalent experience
