The approximate date of this internship is May/June 2026 to December 2026 and will be located in Celebration, FL

As a Business Planning & Strategy Intern supporting Creative Show Design & Delivery Studio at WDI, you will assist in executing project and studio strategies. You will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment, using data-driven insights to help communicate key information and support decision-making. Your responsibilities will include working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders—such as Business Development professionals, Project Managers, Show Managers, Engineers, Designers, Planners, and Producers. You will help the business management team deliver strategic plans and establish best practices that align with both immediate and long-term organizational goals.

What You Will Do

  • Sustain the on-going strategic initiatives, including website development through WordPress as well as the implementation and management of Business Intelligence tools and software such as Tableau, Air Table, and Snowflake
  • Create dashboards and other data visualization tools to advance business operations and visibility into project scope
  • Provide support for ad-hoc business requests pertaining to scope management, performance tracking, vendor relations, and related areas
  • Apply technical expertise to transform intricate data sets into clear, concise reports that support business decision-making
  • Manage Studio databases by using SQL in the Snowflake environment
  • Administration of user access to multiple Business Intelligence platforms
  • Help integrate historical project data and analytics into regular planning and reporting for all disciplines
  • Support the work-plan process for internal projects (development, submittal, approval, and tracking) ensuring the project focus, milestones, and spend are captured completely and align with department priorities/funding

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cross functional organization, preferably an organization with a technical focus
  • Ability to handle & prioritize multiple tasks in a highly dynamic production environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing abilities
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and follow-through skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in strategy, business, or data analytics roles
  • Experience in the use of Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, AirTable etc.)
  • Experience in use of Python or SQL
  • Experience with Snowflake

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Data Analytics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

The pay rate for this role as an Undergraduate student in FL is $26.50 per hour. The pay rate for this role as a Graduate student is $27.50 per hour.
