Job Summary:

The Recurring Production Assistant will support studio content creation for various ESPN platforms. The role includes assisting in gathering content and producing show elements. The position will be scheduled for approximately 40 hours, 5 days per week.

This is a contract role for 40 weeks/1500 Hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and brainstorm ideas to share with content teams

  • Log live game feeds and game melts to be archived for future use

  • Transcribe press conferences and interviews and send transcriptions to content teams

  • Teleprompt live studio shows and organize and distribute scripts to talent

  • Produce elements such as VOs and SOTs to air on SportsCenter, other studio shows, and ABC Affiliates

  • Produce highlights for a variety of sports that will air on SportsCenter and other studio programming

Qualifications:

  • Standard knowledge of multiple sports, especially sports heavily covered within ESPN content during the contract timeline: Football (NFL and College), Basketball (NBA/WNBA and College), Hockey, and Baseball

  • Ability to comfortably prepare and share ideas

  • Must possess professional communication and organization skills

  • React quickly and positively under tight deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

  • Self-starting attitude and team-oriented work ethic

  • Open Availability: nights, mornings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Awareness of ESPN content (i.e. platforms, shows, events, etc.)

  • Awareness of media trends (i.e. social, digital, linear, etc.)

  • Experience with video editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.)

  • Fluency in Spanish

Required Education (required)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
