Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • To implement the Non-Fiction content strategy for the channel/cluster basis channel objectives, content pipeline, market scenario & competition.
  • To develop industry understanding through industry reports, articles, BARC Data.
  • To identify and forecast viewership trends.
  • Diagnosing issues impacting ongoing Non-Fiction show performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like OAP, Marketing, Traffic & Presentation, Ops to ensure smooth channel functioning.
  • Partnering with content teams in new show development (non-fiction)
  • Analyse Daily/Weekly viewership data to fuel viewership growth.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and possible potential challenges and work towards mitigating it.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to successfully meet objectives.

Performance Measures:

  • Identifying strategic levers for growing the viewership of Non-Fiction in our channel – direct impact on channel GRPs à enabling achievement of the budgeted numbers.
  • To provide accurate and actionable insights that will impact strategic decisions (launch, sustenance, and communication turnaround) – Meet / exceed the viewership targets
  • New show development process – help identify new potential Non-fiction shows that can be added to the Star Vijay stable.

Qualifications:

  • MBA from a top tier institute or Engineering/Science/Commerce from a top tier institute.
  • 4 to 8 years of working experience in data collection and research
  • Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good knowledge of MS-Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to deliver on tight timelines.
