Job Role:

The Specialist for the General Administration Division at Walt Disney Attractions Japan is responsible for three main areas: Corporate Social Responsibility-related activity (CSR), company approval process, and travel arrangements. The majority of the work will be in the field of CSR and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will propose and execute volunteer activities and promotions to increase awareness of corporate responsibility within the company.

He/she will also work with our business partner, Oriental Land Company (OLC,) to review that their CSR and environmental activities and initiatives are aligned with Disney.

 The Specialist will also be responsible for tracking the company's approval process across departments.

 Moreover, if business needs indicate, he/she will support travel arrangements to support employees.

The position will be a one-year contract with possible renewal up to total of three years.

Job Responsibilities

Corporate/Enterprise Social Responsibility (CSR/ESR) and Environment (60%)

・Work with leaders to plan and execute internal CSR programs

・Help to operate the Disney VoluntEARs program and Global CSR programs

・Attend internal/external meetings and take minutes. Report out on our CSR programs to other global sites.

・Support social impact wish-granting initiatives and cross-functional collaboration with teams worldwide and non-profit partners.

・Work with OLC and support the review process for their CSR activities

・Support the review of the OLC annual CSR report, OLC Integrated and OLC shareholder meeting reports as well as reviewing related content for the OLC Earnings calls.

Track internal review request 30

Monitor review requests to ensure teams are responding as needed.

Support travel team 10

Provide efficient service and arrangements for inbound and outbound travel arrangements.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate internal and external resources and collaborate with cross-functional and diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build, maintain, and manage relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to track and organize a large volume of data, and tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables.
  • Ability to track and complete work from planning to completion.
  • A proactive self-starter with a positive demeanor and a can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility to change arrangements as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Japanese driver’s license and willing to drive
  • University degrees or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a multi-national environment or in a related field.
