What you Will Do:

The Assistant Manager, Merch on Demand (MOD) will be a part of our Flexible Business Model (FBM) team, which includes wholesale and commercial business models outside of third party licensing and https://jobs.disneycareers.com/benefitsvertical owned/operated. This role is responsible for executing the vertical MOD strategy for select partners and regions around the world. This individual will support the Account Manager - Ecommerce to lead essential day-to-day activities with a direct revenue impact on the DCP P&L. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership and has a curiosity about finding ways to grow a business.

This role will report to the Account Manager and can be based in Celebration, FL or Glendale, CA.

On any given day, you will:

  • Support development of departmental strategies. Actively work to apply financial insights, consumer insights, and product trend information, as well as support the divisional strategies and overall Branded Retail vision to validate strategies.
  • Analyze retail and consumer trends in the industry to help shape the assortment strategies, drive innovation, and identify new opportunities
  • Drive account initiatives to achieve financial objectives for assigned accounts,
  • Present quarterly departmental strategies and hindsight business reviews to the Senior Management and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage marketing needs for assigned account and collaborate with Retail Marketing for internal approvals
  • Lead management of tools/systems, processes and integrations that drive MOD operating platform, serving as subject matter expert for cross-functional teams
  • Own operations of the MOD business for select accounts; including overseeing item/product set-up, order management, promotion/marketing execution, and weekly/monthly/adhoc sales analysis and business reviews
  • Perform gap analysis to drive business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Retail Sales, Brand Merch, Creative Operations, and Creative Design, as well as external vendors/suppliers/account managers
  • Foster workplace culture thriving with optimism that aligns with the corporate mission and values
  • Develop talent to achieve high levels of performance, provide support and mentorship to team

Required Qualifications & Skills   

  • 3 years account and product management experience in mid to large size company (or related experience)
  • Experience with ecommerce retailers preferred
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel with Pivot tables required, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Comfortable with learning new systems and tools
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize
  • Experience in a matrixed organization working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross functional partners and executive level (Directors, VPs) in presentations, working sessions, and 1-on-1 interactions
  • Ability to flex between strategic and task-oriented work

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $78,200 to $104,800 per year and in Celebration, FL is $74,500 to $99,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
