Job Summary:

Disney’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

Job Summary:

The Content Planning Coordinator will support the day-to-day planning for Disney+ content premieres and promotional assets within the Disney+ Content Planning and Scheduling team. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous eye to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong sense of collaboration and diplomacy. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Content Planning.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Input and maintain completeness and accuracy of details in our tools and databases that house our content planning strategies, global premiere dates, and localization intent. Track day-to-day changes.

  • Maintain accurate planning records throughout the lifecycle of a title, including details for related promotional assets.

  • Communicate with internal partnering teams to inform day-to-day shifts and change management.

  • Provide support for ad hoc projects and requests

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Experience in fields related to scheduling, slate planning, or content strategy, ideally in digital media and entertainment. SVOD or Linear TV experience is a plus.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, data governance, and data interpretation skills. Airtable experience is a plus.

  • Manage multiple demands and competing priorities effectively for self and others.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit

  • Strong diplomatic mindset and proven ability to work well in a team environment and across a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and high-pressure working environment.

    

Required Education and Experience

●     Bachelor’s degree

●     1+ years experience in a related field

Preferred Education and Experience

●     SVOD or Linear TV experience

●     Windowing/programming strategy experience

●     Passion for The Walt Disney Company segments, brands and franchises.


The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
