Management Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting department within The Walt Disney Company designed to make valuable contributions, assess compliance, and improve the company's operations. This team is responsible for developing and implementing a worldwide, risk-based Internal Audit Plan for the Company, as well as monitoring and assessing the risks associated with the Company’s internal control environment, its adherence to Disney's policies and procedures, and its compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards, including as it relates to the Company’s strategic objectives and growth plans. We are looking for a full-time intern to join the team.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area from January 2025-June 2025.
What You Will Do:
As a Corporate Management Audit Finance Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Assist in preparation and presentation of various projects and provide solutions to problems as needed
Assist Financial Audit Seniors and Managers with audit planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting tasks
Develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills
Work with Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) to extract data and perform analytics using Excel, Access, and other tools
Required Qualifications & Skills…
General finance, accounting and business process knowledge related to financial statements, revenue recognition, account reconciliation, amortization, etc.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel (v-lookups, pivots tables) and PowerPoint
Outstanding attention to detail and ownership of tasks and deliverables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt behavior and approach to different people and situations, including working well independently and with teams
Preferred Qualifications…
Experience with spreadsheets, databases, ACL, SAS or other data analytical tools a big plus
Previous experience or exposure to SAP
Previous internship experience
Experience with Macros and using spreadsheets in Excel
Education:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Major or previous coursework in: Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or related business field
Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025-June 2025.
This internship is located in the Glendale, CA area.
Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
While this internship is a primarily an on-site position, there may be some days where you work from home which will require a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, CA area

The pay rate for this internship in California is $22.00 per hour.
