About the Role & Program
At Disney Consumer Products, a division of Disney Experiences, we bring beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of fans through outstanding products! We offer experiences that can be found around the world, including on the DisneyStore.com e-commerce platform and at Disney Parks, local and international retailers, as well as Disney store locations globally. We are home to extraordinary teams of product, licensing, and retail experts, artists, storytellers, and technologists. As our Communications Intern, you will support our team with a wide variety of projects.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 9, 2025 through January 2, 2026, located in Glendale, CA.
What You Will Do:
Attend brainstorm meetings to generate ideas for PR activations, media pitches, blog posts and more
Assist as needed at media events - including content capturing, media hosting, and routing event assets
Assist with media and influencer lists, track coverage, and update PR calendars
Assist with project management and administrative needs, including campaign tracking, priority product lists, and note-taking, as well as the shipping, tracking, receiving, and organizing of product samples
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong writer with the ability to learn to write conversationally and with a “Disney” tone
- A strong understanding of pop culture, retail trends, and the entertainment industry
- An organized self-starter who is eager to assist on a wide range of projects and has an excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of AP style
Additional Qualifications:
- Shown understanding of Disney Intellectual Property—from movies and theme parks to television, streaming services, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, iOS operating system, Smartsheet
- Previous communications and/or PR experience
- An ability to write for various platforms and a love of storytelling
Preferred Education:
Be a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
- Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program
The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $22.00 per hour.
