Job Summary:

About the Role & Program

The Disney Television Animation Music Department is a full-service production department that creates and delivers unique and compelling music for animated properties on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Disney + and Marvel as well as producing content for Disney Parks and Resorts, Consumer Products and Disney Live Touring shows. We are involved in every facet of the musical process, from inception to final delivery, and we are looking for an intern to join our team!

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026.

What You Will Do

  • Supervise the music creative process from inception to final delivery on multiple animated productions

  • Supervise Music Production schedules for designated series and pilots

  • Maintain a weekly “Song Production Spreadsheet” which tracks the music process for designated series and pilots

  • Responsible for the delivery of all music deliverables to each TVA production including all song materials and underscore

  • Maintain TVA music digital archives and music library including Protools sessions, lyrics and final song stems

  • Oversee music deliverables to Disney Music Group, Franchise, Marketing and DCP

  • Interface with Walt Disney Music Publishing and oversee music cue sheet inquiries

  • Review scripts for all episodes of each series and determine if there are any music related issues i.e. original songs needed/music licensing

  • Research and track all Public Domain song requests ensuring that any copyright used in designated productions are clear for use Worldwide in perpetuity

  • Responsible for attending all music recording sessions and ensuring that all music is recorded at the appropriate specs. and is delivered back in the proper format

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with using Microsoft Word

  • Experience managing projects from development to completion

  • Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Previous experience (academic or internship) in music, music production, music theory, or related industry

  • Experience using Protools and Finale

  • Experience with digital asset management

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in music, music production, music theory, or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026

  • Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work


The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
