As a Manager, Marketing Strategy with the DCP Marketing Team, you will help lead the global multi-year, go-to-market strategies and execution of North America communication plans across a variety of franchises and categories such as Mickey and Friends, Disney Animation Classics, Disney Princess, Disney’s Frozen and Pixar. You’ll develop compelling marketing programs and work with internal Cast Members, external licensees and agencies across marketing strategy, creative advertising, PR and communications, customer engagement and franchise/commercial teams. You will be responsible for leading a team of marketing strategists to provide strategic input, build, shape, and implement integrated communication plans, evaluate creative, and monitor and analyze campaign performance as part of a dynamic global marketing team. 

 

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy. 

 

Responsibilities

Drive annual business results by developing full-funnel marketing programs that incorporate strategic planning, critical thinking, analytics and innovation across complex projects: 

 

  • Lead a team to drive the marketing efforts on key brands/franchises, including developing strong strategic briefs for media and creative, identifying key message opportunities to drive target audiences and optimizing creative and channel strategies based on business objectives 
  • Partner with other marketing leaders and cross-functional teams across the globe/regions on assigned projects and annual campaigns for key brands/franchises  
  • Track trends, research, and consumer insights to guide the development of campaign roadmaps, briefs, and integrated communication plans 
  • Work with your direct reports to track the implementation of programs; conduct post-mortem analyses 
  • Act as a key constituent on strategizing annual operating plans and influencing long-term planning in conjunction with other Global Marketing Strategy leaders  
  • Develop an understanding of the CPGP business and core consumers to to help shape near and long-term promotional strategies and product positioning  

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 6-8 years of marketing experience 
  • Experience within specialist Fashion, Footwear and Accessories consumer products marketing 
  • Experience planning, driving and evaluating innovative, outstanding softlines marketing campaigns with social and influencers 
  • Experience in pitching to SL brands, licensees, retail partners and DTRs 
  • Experience establishing effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals 
  • Experiencing leading and managing a team 
  • Ability to give both internal and agency creative teams direction and briefs, and manage feedback and approval process within brand guidelines 
  • Ability to analyze data and implement recommendations to achieve business targets 
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote 
  • Flexibility for travel 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent work experience 
  • Master's in Business Administration is preferred

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $124,900.00-$167,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
