The E-Commerce Specialist will report to the Mickey’s of Glendale E-Commerce Assistant Manager.

This is an Internal Assignment/Project Hire with no guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do: 

  • Support the execution of the store’s e-commerce business including website, online store, and off-campus shopping events
  • Copywriting, scheduling, and publishing graphics as well as monitoring online conversations and participating in those conversations to build brand awareness
  • Build engaging content for our internal platforms
  • Build internal specialized websites for limited edition drops
  • Optimize product listings on e-commerce platforms through description, keyword SEO, and update images periodically
  • Stay up to date on the latest e-commerce trends/techniques to help drive awareness and attract new customers, build loyalty with existing customers, and grow overall business
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Marketing Specialist to ensure that visual assets are on-brand and effective
  • Partner with the Ecommerce Marketing Specialist to ensure product launch timelines are on target
  • Ensure that the guest service standards are consistently performed at a high level and exceeds the guest’s expectations
  • Support ecommerce functions relating to exclusive product offerings through online events and off campus shopping events and conventions
  • Assist guests with placing, tracking, and returning orders while maintaining a friendly, can-do attitude
  • Document guest interactions thoroughly and accurately
  • Proudly represent the company and the branded product at bi-annual off-campus shopping events and conventions
  • Manage functions of the SIMBA merchandise program with transfers, receivings, and cycle counts
  • Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for fulfillment and shipping areas according to established company procedures
  • Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in all physical inventories
  • Uphold all company policies as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Employee Policy Manual, and Code of Business Conduct
  • Promote safety awareness and support the maintenance of a risk-free environment

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of e-commerce experience or other related work
  • Excels in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Interpersonal and team skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, Disney executives and employees, and external partners
  • Communicate with Guests, peers, and management within and among all the Walt Disney business units
  • Organizational skills, versatility, and ability to multi-task
  • Proven success in decision-making, diplomacy, and flexibility
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced and high energy retail environment
  • Able to work a flexible retail schedule that meets the needs of the business including, evenings, weekends, and key off-site special events

Education: 

  • Minimum 2 year college degree or equivalent experience

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, California is $25.00 to $30.69 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
