Job Summary:

The Senior Distribution Operations Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for independently driving end-to-end operational delivery of Disney+ content globally across multiple pipelines including Originals, Trailers & Special Looks, Podcasts, and ESPN content. This role ensures every title is technically accurate, validated, conforming to platform specification, cost efficient, and launched on-time for global Sunrise. This role requires excellent judgment under ambiguity, ability to solve highly complex operational issues with minimal supervision, and ability to operate as the subject matter expert on title readiness. The Senior Distribution Operations Manager is expected to anticipate problems before they impact launch timelines, lead cross-functional troubleshooting, and build scalable repeatable solutions that prevent recurrence. This role will also proactively identify workflow opportunities that bring improved cost efficiency, timeline compression, tooling enhancements, reduced friction between internal teams, and higher quality outcomes. This role is highly visible and will frequently interface with senior leaders across Content Platforms & Operations, D+ Programming, Studio Operations, and Localization organizations — including preparing executive-level operational readouts, incident summaries, sunrise risk forecasting, portfolio launch reporting, and performance trend insights.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, structured, calm under pressure, and able to influence decisions without direct authority.

  • Own day-to-day title delivery execution to Disney+ globally; track materials through ingest, validation, conformance and SIP/DSS success.
  • Ensure technical specification accuracy and Sunrise readiness. Partner with Studio Ops, Dubbing/Localization, Mastering, Avails and Programming to interpret priorities, unblock issues, escalate risk early, and communicate status.
  • Identify operational gaps; propose workflow/tool improvements; contribute to “cheaper, faster, better” improvement initiatives.
  • Use operational data, performance metrics, budget guardrails and OKRs to increase velocity, influence decision making, drive efficiency and ensure delivery within cost targets.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in digital distribution, streaming operations, studio post/localization servicing, or similar content operations functions.
  • Strong understanding of digital supply chain delivery workflows and streaming technical specifications. Proven track record of driving operational execution under tight deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating across diverse internal and vendor teams.
  • Strong problem solving, prioritization, communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to balance technical and business considerations in decision-making.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film/Media/Post/Operations
  • Experience servicing global content delivery for streaming platforms.
  • Knowledge of localization workflows and global dubbing/subtitling servicing.
  • Experience operationalizing OKRs, KPIs, or SLA dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Disney’s internal systems (e.g., Wonderland, DOT/ADOPT).
  • Demonstrated use of data-driven metrics and OKRs to evaluate and improve vendor and team performance.
