Senior Specialist Workplace Security

The Senior Specialist role in Global Workplace Security offers a unique opportunity to drive key security initiatives, create and guide programs, and ensure workplace safety with both tactical and strategic impact.
About Your Future Team
As part of the Global Workplace Security team, you will play a key role in supporting and implementing the security strategy of the company by researching emerging trends, developing comprehensive programs, and providing insights to improve security practices.
As a Senior Specialist, your role will be a blend of hands-on involvement and strategic leadership in key initiatives:
Develop and facilitate training programs, covering topics such as workplace violence prevention, active assailant response, and de-escalation techniques.
Customize training content based on audience needs and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Manage training logistics, including resource allocation and coordination with internal communications teams to promote training.
Oversee training curriculum development and ensure all content is up-to-date and effective.
Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of computer-based training modules within the Learning Management System (LMS), such as SuccessFactors.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all security-related training and provide support for learners’ requests.
Conduct in-depth, strategic research into global trends in workplace violence, active assailant incidents, and best prevention practices.
Provide critical insights and strategic analysis on how emerging trends impact workplace security and business operations.
Analyze training metrics to assess efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining a comprehensive database of statistics related to security threats.
Author detailed reports and presentations for key stakeholders, synthesizing data and trends into actionable recommendations.
Assist in the implementation of legal requirements related to workplace violence prevention specifically for California (e.g., SB553) and ensure compliance across the company.
Ensure integration of California-specific legislative standards into security programs and training.

Guide and assist junior team members helping them achieve individual goals and professional goals.
Take initiative on key proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and promoting effective collaboration across teams.
Assist cross functional teams in creating and implementing strategies for workplace violence prevention
To succeed in this role, you will need:
At least 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or corporate security roles, with a focus on workplace safety and security.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, data analysis, and report writing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with LMS platforms such as SuccessFactors.
Strong public speaking skills with experience delivering sensitive training topics to large audiences.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with employees at all levels of the company.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and approaches, with a critical and creative mindset.
Self-motivated to handle multiple projects and work independently within a dynamic, global team.
It would be an advantage if you have:
A Master's degree in a security-related field or a relevant discipline.
Experience in supporting or managing workplace security programs across multiple business segments.
Knowledge of workplace violence prevention legislation, including SB553 California Law.
Certification or experience in project management.
Experience driving the growth of training programs and using metrics to improve program

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $85,800 - $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
