If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Finance.

The approximate date of this internship is May 2026 to August 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.    

What You Will Do  

As a key part of the team you will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, supervising and controlling costs and budgets, tracking commitments both internal and 3rd party consultants and contractors, preparing budgets and performing financial sensitivity analysis where appropriate. Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate financial information and developing basic financial models for performance and trend analysis
  • Identifying issues and sharing analyses in a format that clearly communicates results for management evaluation
  • Understanding accounting impacts to areas of responsibility that could affect financial performance
  • Interfacing and building rapport with team members, management, and internal/external customers
  • Analyzing sophisticated journal entries which can have a significant impact
  • Developing alternatives/proposals for operational improvements

Project/Division Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Imagineering departments to establish Annual Operating Plan (AOP), recurring monthly Forecasts, cost management strategies and maintain Plan/Forecast metrics

  • Reviewing cost commitments, auditing operational activity, and researching cost drivers/variances/trends

  • Entering and maintaining financial data in the Forecast & Planning system

  • Providing regular reporting and analysis management (e.g. labor analytics, OE spending profiles, cost reporting, etc)

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Multitasking skills when working in a flexible environment including with functional groups outside of the department

  • Demonstrated willingness to take a creative approach and work independently in a fast turnaround environment

  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to develop and interpret financial models

  • Proven digital literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate level or above), PowerPoint and Outlook and must have a conceptual understanding of coordinated financial systems

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Experience working with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL

Education  

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics/Data Science

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information 

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship  

  • Be at least 18 years of age  

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization  

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.  

Additional Information 

  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work  

  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship  

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA  


The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $22.50 per hour for undergraduate students and $30.40 per hour for graduate level students.
