The approximate date of this internship is June 2026 to December 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.   

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Show Control Hardware intern to work with the team responsible for bringing all show elements of our attractions to life! As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare, under supervision, basic engineering design and calculation

  • Provide general engineering support to Lead Engineers

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Hands on experience with industrial control systems

  • Familiarity with control hardware design systems

  • Familiarity with PLCs

  • Interest in working in a "test and adjust" construction environment

  • Ability to work as a member of a technical team

  • Computer literacy with MS Office products

  • Valid Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MatLab and/or UML

  • AutoCad and/or SolidWorks experience

  • Experience with Revit

  • Experience working in a professional engineering environment

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Engineering, studying Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering, or related field

Preferred Education

Successful completion of fundamental Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering courses

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​
  • Be at least 18 years of age​
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program 

Additional Information

  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work 

  • Fully available for the duration of the internship

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA 


The pay rate for this role in CA as an Undergraduate Student is $31 per hour. The pay rate for this role as a Graduate Student is $36 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
