About the Role & Team

The Growth Director will oversee the commercial performance of TWDC’s DTC business in Türkiye with immediate focus on the growth and profitability of Disney+ in the market.

The role will define and track the overall plan for Türkiye to achieve Disney+ growth targets and will support meeting these targets by partnering closely with and leveraging the dedicated DTC resources in each functional team. The Director will define and continuously improve the local growth strategy by understanding local opportunities and threats, defining plans that are joined up across teams, and updating these plans based on the most recent performance and local insights.

In particular, the DTC Growth Director will be accountable for Subscriber acquisition, engagement and retention, net subscriber growth, revenue and profit targets, as per the Long Range and Annual Operating Plans.

This is a highly strategic role that has direct and substantial impact on the overall success of Disney+ in Türkiye.

This role will require you to be working 4 days a week in our office and 1 day from home.

What You Will Do

 

  • Commercial planning

    • Lead on all planning activities, including LRP, AOP, quarterly planning, in-quarter performance by gathering insights and inputs from all the DTC functional leads

    • Lead on performance tracking and take an end to end view from brand metrics to net growth and P&L performance, ensuring key opportunities or performance issues are spotted early
       

  • DTC subscriber acquisition

    • Lead the DTC subscriber acquisition strategy and operations for Disney+ in Türkiye leading the digital media planning and execution of performance and digital marketing campaigns across all channels.

    • Deliver subscriber acquisition targets through the most effective channel mix and cost per acquisition (CPA) – optimising across volume and quality of acquired subscribers.

    • Optimise performance through detailed data analysis and implementing an ongoing test and learn programme.

    • Work closely with the regional and global performance marketing teams in London and NYC to optimise performance channels and ensure analytics and campaign tracking are in place.
       

  • Customer engagement and retention

    • Lead all customer lifecycle engagement strategies and activities, across on-boarding, early life, at risk and win back.

    • Oversee all customer engagement communications across email, push notifications, in-app pop-ups, and user interface tactics.

    • Work closely with the global product team in London and NYC to develop clear roadmap, engagement ‘toolkit’, and test programme to optimise customer engagement metrics.

    • Work closely with the DTC EMEA Engagement team to track performance KPIs for our platform and define the right strategy to improve them.

    • Deliver overall ‘churn’ targets, including save rates and win back metrics.
       

  • Team management

    • The role will report to the VP DTC for Italy & Türkiye and manage a team of resources across customer acquisition, customer retention and trading and analytics.

Required Qualifications & Skills

This role requires deep experience in digital commerce and subscription businesses, building strong relationships with other Functional leads in DTC and other LOBs, combined with the ability to build and retain high performing teams.

Specific skills and experience we are looking for include:

  • Extensive experience in digital commerce, with strong track record in delivering substantial commercial targets and budgets.

  • Direct experience of subscriber management and CRM

  • Proven leadership experience of building, developing and motivating teams.

  • Strategic thinker with strong communication skills.

  • Highly analytical mindset and data-driven approach to delivering results.

  • Extensive experience in digital marketing.

  • Deep knowledge of subscription services and the broader media landscape.

  • The right collaborative, influencing and relationship building skills to be effective in a large global matrix organisation.
