Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Disney’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

About Disney+ Hotstar

Disney+ Hotstar is leading the way as one of the largest premium video platforms in Indonesia. It is the dedicated home for streaming movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Star and more. It is available on most internet-connected devices and offers a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios.

The primary purpose of this role is to support publicity activities for Studios and Disney+ Hotstar in Indonesia (ID). He/she will assist to coordinate and to develop publicity campaigns, media monitoring, work with agencies, maintain relationships with media and KOLs. This role requires a strong grasp of the media and KOL landscape in Indonesia and the candidate should be knowledgeable in industry trends and the latest digital trend and innovations. 

Responsibilities:

Daily Media Monitoring

  • Compile daily reports as needed
  • Send daily reports to stakeholders

Publicity Campaigns

  • Participate in developing and executing Publicity campaigns for upcoming Studios and Disney+ Hotstar content releases
  • Assist in creation and/or management of press materials including press releases, media kits, EDMs, assets
  • Work with local PR agencies to ensure campaigns adhere to timelines

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with media and influencers
  • Support coordination of press events, junkets and other on-ground activities

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other teams within Disney Entertainment such as social media to ensure cohesive integrated marketing efforts

Internship Requirements

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
  • Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2025

Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Interest or knowledge of The Walt Disney Company's key brands - Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star
  • Highly self-motivated and meticulous with a strong passion for communications
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organisations, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong team player; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in cross functional teams
  • Self-starter that needs minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office, Powerpoint, Keynote
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to utilise media monitoring tools will be a plus
