Business Affairs plays a pivotal role in the review and approval of merchandise developed by Disney Consumer Products.  This role will have day-to-day responsibilities to review and clear artwork and other merchandise development content for the Vertical and Licensing platforms including, but not limited to, editorial and taglines, patents, copyrights, and music licensing, by working in a collaborative fashion with key partners such as IP Legal, CP Legal, Corporate Brand Management, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Safety, Environmental as well as other Business Affairs team members. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day Business Affairs function related to clearance facilitation and approvals for the merchandising of Disney film franchises and Theme Park properties with appropriate partners.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships with regular, effective and timely communications regarding status of clearance submissions.
  • Manage a high volume of art and editorial reviews in the fast-paced environment including maintaining instances of priority timelines.
  • Exercise independent critical thinking, judgement and decision making.
  • Able to work closely with a team in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere
  • Maintain records of clearance facilitations including rights information and restrictions of content, as applicable, in SharePoint.
  • Prepare and deliver training presentations to internal clients on substantive and operational content.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to execute against multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • High energy and enthusiasm, self-motivated, able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an ability to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; analytical skills; verbal and writing skills (discussion, analysis, succinctly summarizing key issues)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business counterparts, assess risks and counsel appropriate action.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

This position will required to be at the Florida office at least 4 days a week.
