Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Regulatory & DOT Compliance will oversee all Regulatory and DOT Compliance objectives and deliverables, leading two team managers in these areas. This role involves proactive risk mitigation, collaboration with stakeholders, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Make leadership decisions on work distribution, issue escalation, and deliverable management.
- Hold team managers accountable for their work product and desired outcomes.
- Lead two team managers in all Regulatory and DOT compliance matters, including performance objectives, evaluation, coaching, and work distribution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to support the professional growth of managers.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight:
- Oversee all Regulatory Compliance business objectives and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Regulatory and DOT Compliance Teams to develop comprehensive compliance programs adhering to applicable laws and regulations (FMCSA, State of Florida, OSHA).
- Regularly review and update company policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
DOT Compliance Management:
- Oversee DOT Compliance business objectives and team deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and company policies for Cast Members and company vehicles.
- Administer Random Drug Testing programs and maintain files on annual physicals for drivers.
- Act as a third-party CDL testing facility for the state of Florida, conduct CDL testing, and issue licenses for commercial drivers.
Training and Education:
- Maintain Cast Member learning plans, assign training, schedule classes, and deliver training on and off property.
- Oversee assignment of all Safety, Health, Legal, and Environmental training programs.
- Partner and collaborate on the development of training programs for Cast Members on regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and compliance best practices.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify areas of risk related to Regulatory/DOT compliance and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, HR, Operations) to ensure compliance objectives align with organizational goals.
Reporting and Metrics:
- Develop and present compliance metrics and reports to Executives.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance activities and audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Multiple years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a focus on transportation safety.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex compliance programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Compliance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred

- Strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate regulatory trends.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in compliance management tools and technologies.
