Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Strategy and Transformation, this individual will support and influence the strategic direction of Parks Product Development & Retail organization by developing and implementing strategies to support long-term growth.

This individual will work on the crucial initiatives that will equip The Walt Disney Company to unlock its next waves of innovation, increased value, and leverage to the organization!

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to strategic vision and objectives of the Parks Product Development & Retail (PPDR) group through support of long-range plans
  • Implement consumer-led, and product-specific business strategies for priority initiatives that build long-term value for the segment
  • Supervise ongoing results of key initiatives & critical metrics while proactively recommending adjustments based on business need or market indicators (balance goal setting and learning on the fly)
  • Maintain a strong awareness of the global merchandise business, including knowledge of licensed, vertical, and flexible business models
  • Adept in analyzing data and building compelling business cases grounded in analytics
  • Develop dynamic tools and reports (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to monitor initiative progress
  • Design and implement project plans to streamline new initiative rollouts
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring successful project completion.
  • Lead critical change management strategies to ensure initiatives are successful
  • Prepare and present cohesive materials on strategies to senior executive leadership applying compelling visuals
  • Lead competing priorities and consistently navigate ambiguity and complexity
  • Partner closely with key internal partners to drive strategies & initiatives (Corporate Alliance, Operating Participants, Site Operations, DCP)
  • Lead communication strategies in partnership with leadership team.
  • Drive strategy and seamless experience across all Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experiences
  • Provide Line-of-Sight Visibility and Critical Connection Across Parks Product Development & Retail
  • Provide line-of-sight to Sr. Manager on high-priority initiatives and daily business issues
  • Demonstrate political savviness with keen understanding of how organizations function and ability to influence peers and leaders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to unlock areas of intersection / interdependency (“connect the dots”)
  • Build and champion collaborative partnerships across functions and departments within Parks Product Development & Retail
  • Create a positive environment where partners are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives
  • Prepare compelling executive level presentations in PowerPoint and/or Keynote.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in Merchandising/Planning for vertical specialty retail or Theme Park environment
  • Validated analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills – probes for answers and looks beyond the obvious, can see hidden problems and proactively addresses them, grounded in the big picture
  • Consistent track record of excelling at working in—or with—large matrixed organizations
  • Professional communication skills and capacity to develop and deliver presentations, including demonstrated proficiency in crafting strong, visually compelling materials
  • Great teammate with dedication to building strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in project management with ability to balance shifting priorities to manage and deliver complex projects on time
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Keynote

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant field of study or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

  • MBA (and minimum of 3 years of post-MBA work experience)
