The Associate Material Specialist is an essential member of the Engineering Services Integration team under the Facilities and Operation Support (FOS) line of business. As an Associate Material Specialist, you will provide support to the Engineering Services Integration Central Purchasing team with all aspects of processing and tracking orders for spare and replacement parts, researching problems, and tracking orders to support Parks and Resorts Engineering Services. This position is considered a hybrid flex position where the Cast Member works a portion of their time on-site from a designated Company campus and the remainder remotely. Someone willing to be flexible with a work schedule including weekends is ideal.

You will report to the ESI-Central Buying Team Manager.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include processing, coordinating and expediting material requisitions for FOS and other related lines of business. Additional responsibilities include crafting purchase orders in Coupa, processing and tracking invoices for payment of material purchases through SAP, Coupa, Maximo and processing service entries. Lastly, the role will run reports on items such as committed costs, vendor purchases, and outstanding purchase orders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Understanding of analytics and how it impacts business.
  • Well-defined organizational techniques to manage time and complete commitments.
  • Background in maintaining relationships and working with multiple partners.
  • Basic understanding Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Maximo
  • Experience in Coupa
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World (WDW) policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Procurement Guidelines for Material Controls.
  • Experience performing administrative responsibilities relating to the procurement process which includes coordinating support at WDW and Disneyland Resort.
