About the Role & Team

We are seeking a Business Operations Associate to support our Asset Management Team! Asset Management is responsible for the appropriate disposition/acquisition of all Domestic theme parks & resorts assets removed from service, as well as ensuring the necessary approvals are received and financial entries booked. We handle all interactions with internal partners across Walt Disney Parks & Resorts property as well as Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Disney ABC Television Group, Disney Consumer Products, Adventures By Disney, and D23. We ensure compliance with safe handling practices, internal controls and Property Control Policies.

The Business Operations Associate works in a fast-paced distribution environment receiving, sorting, tracking, and shipping of assets from all aspects of the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts business. In this position, you will learn to perform a variety of positions within the team. The expectation of this position includes, but is not limited to: Operational Support, Forklift Driving, Inventory Control, 3rd Party Vendor Support, Guest Service, and Special Event Operations. The team receives hundreds of assets a day and the expectation is that the processing of assets is done quickly to ensure appropriate controls.

This is an onsite role located in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

You will report to the Business Operations Manager.


You Will:

  • Support retail, receiving, and asset management operations across multiple liquidation, recycling, and sales channels.
  • Receive, verify, stage, sort, move, and prepare assets for sale, recycling, or other approved disposition channels.
  • Organize and categorize inventory, commodities, and assets based on established guidelines, operational priorities, and sales schedules.
  • Operate material handling equipment and industrial tools, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in accordance with safety standards.
  • Price merchandise and prepare assets for retail sale as directed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assets, including photographs, measurements, locations, and supporting records.
  • Assist with audits, inventory verification, and documentation updates in partnership with leadership and business partners.
  • Support attraction rehabilitations, Heritage Program installations, and other operational projects as assigned.
  • Provide cross-functional operational support based on staffing levels, workload demands, vacations, and adjusted day-off (ADO) schedules.
  • Follow established safety, handling, and disposal procedures to support sustainability and landfill diversion initiatives.
  • Complete one or more assigned functions during a shift based on operational needs and business priorities.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions while safely operating equipment and handling company assets throughout the day.

You Will Have:

  • Proven ability to work independently while following established procedures, policies, and operational standards.
  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion in supporting day-to-day operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and direction from leadership.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including moving and handling large or heavy assets.
  • Experience operating, or willingness to learn, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Commitment to completing required training and continuously learning new processes and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a warehouse, retail, logistics, inventory management, receiving, asset management, or operations environments.
  • Proficiency operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, asset tracking, audit processes, and documentation standards.
  • Experience supporting operational projects and collaborating across teams.
  • Familiarity with recycling, liquidation, sustainability, or asset disposition processes.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness in managing shifting priorities and multiple responsibilities.
  • Bilingual communication skills (Spanish and/or another language) to support interactions with Cast Members, vendors, and business partners across a variety of teams and work environments.

The pay rate for this role in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $20.10 per hour.
