As the Catering Planning Resource Manager, you will ensure that Hourly Cast Members are scheduled efficiently and effectively in order to optimize use of labor to achieve performance targets and ensuring memorable guest experience.
In this fully on-site role, you will be reporting to Manager of Catering Planning & Logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate staffing guidelines for Catering Culinary and Stewarding hourly Cast scheduling
- Partner with local areas and Workforce Management to forecast labor needs and determine deployment opportunities, both long term and short term
- Lead a team of O&T Cast collecting real-time data to ensure up to date daily and weekly forecasts and accuracy in CMs schedules
- Ensure sufficient labor resources are available to meet workload demands while maintaining profitability
- Produce effective scheduling to maximize performance and meet KPI’s
- Complete regular analysis of planned vs. actual hours worked and provide reporting on headcount and Full Time Equivalent levels including variance to budget
- Interact and influence across the operational management teams on all matters labor planning related
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience
- Current and Previous Disney work experience
- Experience in a customer-focused environment is essential
- Proven labor planning experience
- Strong communication skills
- Creativity to find solutions in new ways and enhance the Guest and Client experiences
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Ability to work in a high paced environment, driven by tight deadlines
- Ability to lead in stressful situations
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict
- Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize work, and effectively manage time
- Ability to work independently without the supervision of a manager
- Ability to effectively work with cast members at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organization and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient operating in a Windows environment, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of Catering, Convention, Culinary, Food & Beverage Management, or Workforce Management experience
- Understanding of the Convention business
- Knowledge of Walt Disney World procedures
- Experience working in My Time, CDS, Jewel, GEMS, or Lightyear
- Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements impacting scheduling practices and policies.
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
- Experience working with a diverse workforce
- Food safety certification
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position is $68,600 to $91,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
