Job Summary:

Responsible for day to day operations, engineering and management of leased and owned facilities and management of production services to ensure business is conducted in a clean, safe and efficient work environment and that the value of the Company’s physical assets is protected and enhanced.

Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly/quarterly/semiannual and annual preventive maintenance schedules for all systems (MEP)
  • Manage any maintenance in partnership with all clients running IT equipment through service tickets and approval chains
  • Analyze Data center capacities including UPS/EM loads/HVAC loads and space allocation in the server racks to make sure all critical loads are equally balanced
  • Perform all necessary critical maintenances including annual pull the plugs/IR testings/NETA testing’s
  • Own all Data center operations from Utility level to the PDU level and communicate with all affected clients for any impacts
  • Create and review SOP/MOP’s for all systems
  • Create 1/3/5 year capital and Opex plans for proper operation of the facility.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors for infrastructure maintenances for roofing/grounds/non critical systems including but not limited to, irrigation/landscaping/parking/storm water/grey water systems.
  • Manage 3rd party vendor installations and maintenance of all critical systems, including but not limited to, Generators/UPS/ATS/HVAC/Process water/Fire life safety systems.
  • Partner with technology teams to schedule preventive maintenance for all critical rack systems up to the PDU level.
  • Plan and execute campus operational budgets, expense forecasting, and manage established budgets.
  • Set strategy and plan deployments.
  • Lead efforts to integrate optimization scenarios to save energy on all MEP systems.
  • Create strategy for cost effective operations, focused on total cost of ownership.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and innovation in data center operations and emergent challenges.
     

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience working as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer.
  • Experience in critical facilities management, including facility, technical, and team management.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems in a data center environment.
  • Knowledge of CPMS/BMS systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining N/N+1/2N data center infrastructure including all HVAC/Electrical systems.
  • Capable of creating MOP’s/SOP’s for scheduled maintenance and shutdowns while keeping all systems online.
  • Providing onsite support to unscheduled power outages/brown outs to maintain zero downtimes/business interruptions.
  • Effective vendor management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills and experience for recurring capital projects and infrastructure improvements.

Required Education

  • Associates degree and/or equivalent experience
     

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree in a related Engineering field (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil)
