The Global Engineering and Technology (GE&T) is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support the Ride Engineering Teams! This is a great opportunity where you will assist with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and timelines while communicating with various partners at different levels. You will also work alongside Walt Disney World (WDW) Ride and Show Engineers supporting the performance and completion of engineering tasks to ensure successful completion of the project. The Engineering Coordinator will report to the Staff Project Engineer.

This position is located in Lake Buena Vista, FL and will be an 18-month Project Hire.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate with customers, project managers, vendors, and engineering teams to identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Support the Engineering team with onsite performance and completion of testing operations and completion of project tasks.

  • Track and report earned value of system installation process, testing activities, and engineering work.

  • Manage ownership and availability of the worksite between Engineering team and partners.

  • Prioritize and manage equipment testing plans and schedules.

  • Coordinate project meetings, turnover discussions, and other project-related events, ensuring effective scheduling, logistics, and follow-up actions.

  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations, status reports, meeting minutes, and other materials for project evaluations and executive meetings.

  • Support Engineering team members with purchase and procurement of equipment and hardware.

  • Track and reconcile the ride engineering project budget and team expenditures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong ability to anticipate project needs with the initiative and independence to take appropriate action.

  • Experience working on a construction site and/or with coordinating technical activities.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, partners, and vendors.

  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience collaborating with partners and team members both with technical and non-technical backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with Smartsheet including formulas, dashboards, reports, etc.

  • Experience tracking and reporting project earned value

  • Experience working in SAP and/or Concur

  • Familiarity working at or with the Walt Disney World Resort

  • Experience facilitating project meetings

  • Experience with extensive construction durations and muti-disciplinary teams.

Education

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or certification in Engineering, Project Management Construction, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree a plus.
