About the Role & Program
The Disney Meetings & Events Services team handles convention and internal events at the Walt Disney World Resort! Event Services acts as the primary Disney contact for clients and is responsible for planning and coordinating all event details. In addition, this team collaborates with numerous teams across Disney property including the Disney Event Group, Resort Operations, Park Event Operations, and the Catering/Culinary teams. The Event Services team is also the on-site event contact to ensure that outstanding experiences are delivered!
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2026 – January 2027
What You Will Do
In this role, the individual will be involved in a wide variety of planning activities including but not limited to the following:
Working directly with various internal departments to plan events in the Theme Parks and Resorts
Assisting Event Services Managers with the planning and onsite execution of convention groups
Partnering closely and collaborating with operational areas including Catering, Culinary, Audio Visual and Entertainment to build Service Orders
Ensure guest expectations for set-up, service and flow of catered functions are delivered in an outstanding manner
Handle all planning, as assigned, for individual internal events and various projects as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills
Well organized, with time management skills, attention to detail, and integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills to optimally communicate in a way that is both proactive and assertive
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently on a team
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to uphold a professional business image and presentation of excellence through professional dress, written and oral presentations
Possess a valid US driver’s license and must have your own personal vehicle to get to/from on-site events
Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Qualifications
Event planning, event services, or catering operations experience
Strong written business communication skills and business insight
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Prior resort operations or food and beverage experience
Proficient in Spanish
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing/Sales, or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 – January 2027
Fully available to work full time (40 hours per week) including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship
Transportation: Must have your own personal vehicle to get to/from on-site events
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area
