Due to the variety of businesses and learning needs the team supports, the work requires a high degree of strategy to identify holistic learning needs, creativity in developing solutions, and agility and teamwork to deliver solutions worldwide. They must be creative and innovative, knowledgeable, and experienced in applying modern and advanced learning methodologies and technologies to push the boundaries of adult learning and development theories, models, and practices. However, they must also have a relentless focus on practical application that is grounded in the realities of what our senior leaders and executives face day-to-day and the impacts they need to drive for the company. This leader must have a global mindset, able to develop and translate strategy into scalable programs and initiatives that serve the learning and development needs of leaders globally. The Executive Development manager must be able to perform work with moderate supervision, exhibit strong written, verbal, problem-solving and consultation skills, and have strong creative sensibilities and strong project management/organizational skills.

What You Will Do
This is a Part-Time (PT) role and will report to the Sr. Manager of Executive Development. This position can be based in Orlando, FL., or Burbank, Ca.
As the Executive Group Development Manager, you will craft and develop learning products and experiences for The Walt Disney Company executives globally (all levels)!
  • Assess learning needs accurately and propose creative and effective learning solutions to meet learning goals, taking into consideration the complexities of designing for audiences with common and level-specific needs
  • Design or assess learner-centric experiences, keeping executive engagement and skill development/growth top of mind
  • Project management, from needs analysis to deployment
  • Interact with The Walt Disney Company Executives and stakeholders, as well as third-party content providers
  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of communications
  • Develop support material for learning solution for various audiences (participants, speakers, learning and HR partners)
  • Align solutions to broader HR strategies
  • Work with partners on metric strategy to measure impact of learning solutions/experiences
  • Know and apply adult learning principles, appealing to diverse learning styles; contextualize learning content to what it means at The Walt Disney Company
  • Evaluate off-the-shelf content for relevance and use
  • Facilitate, as needed, in-person and virtual sessions for global audiences
  • Work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place
  • Collaborate with learning partners across all global/ regional businesses
  • Align solutions to TWDC values and Leadership Expectations, as well as TWDC DE&I principles and pillars

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5 years+ of experience developing learning solutions, leadership and executive development for large-scale, progressive companies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified in multiple assessments (360, EQ, MBTI, etc.) (preferred)
  • Experienced facilitator for group learning, intact work teams, and custom solutions

Education
  • BA/BS in Learning & Leadership Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required

Additional Information
This position is PT (29 hours per week)

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $67,208 - $82,140 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
