As the Guest Experience Manager of Sports Procurement & Logistics, you will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining top quality equipment for our events. You will work to maintain the lifespan of equipment to ensure we are financially prepared to replace equipment regularly, ensuring safety and show quality for Guests and Cast. Keeping an accurate inventory of the equipment needed to provide partners and clients with realistic expectations will be a priority. This position will report to the Proprietor, Sports Operations.

What You Will Do:

Procurement Operations & Vendor Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of event procurement and logistics, including purchasing of equipment and rentals, receiving, equipment setup, changeover, and teardown

  • Ensure that the venue is prepared and transitioned efficiently for different sports and events

  • Identify, select and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality service and competitive pricing

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and encourage a diverse team of Cast Members, focusing on their development and engagement

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure high performance

Safety & Guest Excellence:

  • Prioritize safety for both Guests and Cast Members while striving to exceed Guest expectations by maintaining a high standard of service excellence

Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with peers, other teams, and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and effective communication across all departments

Inventory & Equipment Management:

  • Maintain and handle the equipment inventory at the complex and warehouse, ensuring all items are in optimal condition and properly stored

Budget Management:

  • Demonstrate financial acumen by managing the procurement budget, ensuring compliance with financial targets and budgetary constraints

Adaptability & Problem Solving:

  • Exhibit flexibility and agility in responding to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to unplanned requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of procurement experience, preferably within sports venues or large-scale event facilities

  • A Valid U.S. driver’s license

  • Ability to hold self and others accountable, and to lift up to 75 pounds

  • Ability to obtain Forklift (PIT) certification and operate pallet jacks

  • Prior experience working in an outdoor operation across varying weather conditions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain composure and exercise good judgment in complicated situations

  • Understanding of the financial aspects of operations, including budgets, revenue, and labor costs

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment

  • Flexibility in work schedule, with availability on weekends during high-volume periods

  • Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and adaptability to new technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with purchasing systems (SAP/Coupa)

  • Previous experience working in a sports environment or with event implementation

  • Prior experience working in event-driven areas such as Sports Complexes, Stadiums Arenas, Park Event Operations (PEO), or banquets

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent experience
