As a Registered Nurse Coordinator within Guest First Aid, you will deliver the highest quality of professional nursing care and guest experience to our Guests and Cast Members while being a positive role model and team leader to the Guest First Aid team! Guest First Aid is a fast-paced environment with a highly collegial team that depends on close collaboration, intra-team consistency, and frequent communications! As Guest First Aid is a 7 day a week operation, full availability for scheduling Sunday through Saturday is needed as well as availability to work holidays. Shift times vary and can start as early as 7 am and last until our parks close and/or special events end. Consistent days off are offered following the initial training period. Occasional overtime or alternate shift work may be required.
This position will report to the Guest Health Services Manager.
Please note that this is a temporary project hire role, expected to last for approximately eight months.
What You Will Do:
Nursing and Guest Service:
- Provide world class clinical care to our Guest and Cast.
- Ensure the highest quality and compassionate care is being delivered to our Guests by serving as a role model to the team and working with Operations partners and emergency services teams
- Follow established practices for care outlined under Florida RN licensure standards and Policies and standing orders
- Provide appropriate peer coaching, training, and support to determine solutions to meet or exceed business objectives. This includes actively soliciting feedback from Cast Members to achieve a positive environment
Operations:
- Assess labor deployment and work with Guest Health Services Manager to ensure all locations and respective responsibilities are covered adequately including rotation of responsibilities
- Ensure Cast Members are on time and ready to work at locations and ensure opportunities for lunches/breaks are happening in a timely manner and consistent timeframe
- Order and receive supplies on a weekly basis, ensuring par levels are established/re-established to seasonality
- Track maintenance, IT, phone requests and follows-up
- Compose weekly location status reports
- Coordinate with on-call leadership any updates, issues, or needs (hand-off)
Clinical Training:
- Develop and implement clinical training programs to enhance skills, including hands-on training, simulations, and shadowing experiences.
- Responsible for annual skills assessment, training, feedback and evaluations.
- Ensure that training programs align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- To do their jobs well, nurses need to have physical strength and stamina, and the ability to move around freely, and see, hear and communicate well with Guests and Cast.
- Working conditions require standing for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking and lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, stretching, or twisting of the body.
- Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. A nurse needs physical strength and the ability to kneel/squat to complete emergency procedures such as CPR.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Current and clear Florida Registered Nursing license
- 3+ years of nursing experience
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Demonstrated high-quality clinical skills and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated outstanding guest service-oriented skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills,
- Basic ability to work within a Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Independent and self-motivated to work in a team environment
- Full availability to work at any park with work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Demonstrate integrity, insist on fairness and take responsibility for decisions and actions
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task in an organized manner with solution-oriented work habits in a fast-paced environment
- Establish phenomenal working relationships and be a teammate to work within the Health Services team
- Ability to push, pull a wheelchair; or drive a vehicle as needed to care for Guests
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time to walk, lift, squat, push, pull and/or carry heavy objects, up to 30 lbs
- Excellent hearing and ability to see, and full use of hands for patient assessment and to control, handle or feel objects and tools
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proficiency in languages in addition to English
- Previous leadership experience
- Previous Guest Health Services experience
Required Education :
- Bachelor's degree
- Current and clear Florida Registered Nursing license
- BLS Certified
- Valid Florida driver’s license
Preferred Education :
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
