About the Role & Team
As an Inventory Manager, you will assist and keep up with responsibilities while managing your team. The function of the group will be to bolster support for Engineering Services as a part of the greater Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) team. We focus on our Engineering Services partner's needs. This role reports into the Manager, Engineering Service Integration. This is an internal assignment/project hire with no guarantee of permanent placement at the end of the assignment.
What You Will Do
- Lead all aspects of daily operations of bench-stock inventory management teams where assigned to a region among Walt Disney World parks, resorts, water parks, ESPN WWS and Disney Springs.
- Lead a team of 15-20 Material Attendants and Planned Work Specialists responsible for ordering all attraction specialty spare parts.
- Supervise the overall health of the bench-stock inventory system by reviewing existing metrics, providing input, and providing direction to inventory teams.
- Work with peers and Planning Managers to maintain consistency in inventory management, parts procurement, and inventory balances/reorder points to improve readiness at the most efficient cost possible.
- Provide inventory insights through analytics to regional Engineering Services Directors and facilitate rapid turnaround of inventory and purchasing needs.
- Participate in, and in some cases, lead/coordinate a variety of projects assigned within the region.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience using analytics to achieve results.
- Well-defined tactics to ensure the accuracy of information being reviewed and presented.
- Experience delivering and understanding written and verbal information to partners at all levels.
- Experience collaborating in a team environment.
- Identify/solicit meaningful needs and develop solutions to address the line of business needs.
- Experience delivering services, specifically to internal customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Maximo/SAP
- Experience with inventory and supply chain management
- Knowledge of Disney Parks, Experience and Products Sourcing Policies
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
