About the Role:

The Manager - Controls Business Analytics plays a pivotal role in driving business analytics and reporting to support departmental and program management teams. This position is integral to identifying and tracking performance metrics, preparing executive summaries, and overseeing the administration of the Project Management Information System (PMIS). As a leader, you will manage a team, provide training, and continuously improve systems and processes to enhance departmental effectiveness. This role is essential to ensuring the success of Disney Experiences by aligning analytics with organizational goals and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

What You Will Do

As a Manager - Controls Business Analytics, you will be responsible for overseeing team performance, aligning departmental goals, and providing coaching to ensure success. You will lead individual contributors and manage complex challenges with creativity and agility, inspiring your team to connect their contributions to the organization's goals.

  • Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports, ensuring accountability and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare special projects or business analyses for executives and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and conduct ad hoc budget research and analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and the department to ensure timely and effective communication regarding project/program performance.
  • Continuously seek to improve PMIS systems, tools, reports, and procedures to enhance departmental effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate areas of business risk.
  • Provide continuous coaching and feedback to team members, recognizing individual working styles and perspectives.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with your team and support their career aspirations by leveraging their strengths.
  • Create an environment where Disney values are experienced by aligning actions with words, encouraging creative problem-solving, and ensuring everyone's voice is heard.
  • Facilitate monthly executive meetings and coordinate the preparation of reports for review.
  • Administer PMIS training programs, including preparing training materials, user guides, and department-wide communications.
  • Coordinate PMIS system upgrades, including process mapping, testing, and go-live protocols.

What You Must Have

  • 5+ years of business or finance experience, including 3+ years in project management.
  • Proficiency in business analytics and reporting tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and PMIS software.
  • Knowledge of SAP and project management software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and set priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of project management process and contract terms.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in defining and implementing system and process improvements.
  • Advanced study or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
