Marketing Manager, Disney University (Seasonal Position)

Disney University is the learning organization responsible for leadership development of Cast, Crew, Imagineers and Employees throughout Disney Experiences. The Marketing team plays a meaningful role in encouraging a culture that inspires learners to propel Disney excellence by unlocking their talents and capabilities through ongoing growth and development. We drive the overall communications strategy and execution for Disney University, support learning initiatives and provides communication support to programs and projects. Our team requires a high level of collaboration and integration to align efforts around messaging, positioning and prioritizing.

The Marketing Manager (Seasonal) will support the Disney University Marketing, Learning Strategy and Learning Operations team to clearly communicate offerings in a way that motivates and engages learners. The ideal candidate has professional experience in marketing or communications, technical marketing skills and is tech savvy.

What you will do

  • Produce, publish, and manage content on internal websites, mobile sites/apps, email and other communication platforms
  • Collaborate across teams to align the learning goals with communications strategy for learning experiences across the segment as well as for individual businesses and individual learners
  • Develop identities for course/programming brands, marketing strategies and integrated communications plans for various types of learning programs
  • Create and develop detailed copy, visuals and graphics to support learning offerings and associated marketing and comms plans
  • Measure the impact of marketing and communication strategies as well as site traffic on various sites/apps to determine what drives participation and interest; influence the positioning, tone and content for learning engagement
  • Integrate with broader Disney Experiences Communications teams to publicize learning offerings in relevant internal communication vehicles
  • Proactively generate big-picture thinking and seek out innovative and creative approaches to communication campaigns with an eye toward accessibility, diversity and inclusion
  • Identify creative solutions to capture the attention of learners and program participants
  • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with members of the broader learning team as well as key internal partners

Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Proficiency with the technical aspects of producing and publishing digital media content, including graphic design software to create content and assets
  • Solid understanding of web publishing software and coding including HTML and CSS
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into compelling stories and communications strategies
  • High-level capacity to be a strong communicator, collaborator and influencer with strong written communication and visual design skills
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with keen attention-to-detail for proof reading, quality control and consistency
  • Highly organized, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing many projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen and technical marketing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications in web publishing or coding
  • Professional experience at The Walt Disney Company

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field/or equivalent experience
