We are seeking a Media and Production Operations Coordinator to support the Disney Event Group Media and Production Operations team with coordination of the planning and execution of small to large-scale, sophisticated, and often high-profile media productions, as well as assuming ownership for smaller productions and media events.
You will use resources throughout the Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs to focus on the delivery of phenomenal partner experiences, while maintaining the integrity of Guest experiences, using administrative, interpersonal, communication, and relationship skills. The position will assist the leadership team while collaborating with internal and external partners of all levels to support productions. The role requires a passion for a fast-paced environment and adaptability to the constantly evolving environment of media productions.
You will report to the Disney Event Group Media & Production Operations Manager.
What You Will Do
- Effectively collaborate on media projects with partners through the planning process and on-site execution in guest-facing areas including indoor and outdoor spaces for extended periods of time
- Develop detailed project schedules and ensure all partners are aligned and aware of crucial project milestones and deliverables
- Serve as a creative thought partner by staying abreast of new and future offerings in the Parks, using extensive knowledge of Parks operations, and benchmarking standard processes.
- Recognize and work through challenges and opportunities within the project scope
- Demonstrate adaptability to the fluctuating needs of partners
- Establish and use key relationships to ensure connectivity to the production teams and the Parks Leadership teams
- Provide thoughtful and collaborative insight, feedback, and recommendations that can be implemented to improve future guest-facing productions
- On-site facilitation of planned and coordinated productions acting as the point of contact for all partners from the production crew and producers to parks operational and safety partners
- Create and support a safe working environment by demonstrating all safety protocols
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of Walt Disney World park operations and production processes
- Self-direction and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, a professional presence, and a proven ability to present a cohesive, influential story
- Demonstrated relationship skills with the ability to develop professional partnerships that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with varying priorities
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and third shifts, as needed
- Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in media production, events, or equivalent
- Extensive Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs knowledge
- Experience handling confidential information and interacting with a wide variety of internal and external staff.
