About the Role & Team
The Operations Training Manager will inspire and lead the team responsible for delivering training for new and existing Cast Members. Your team will provide a warm and welcoming Cast Training Experience including creating and communicating training schedules, facilitating classes and performance requirements, and delivering on-the-job training. You will integrate information, processes, and best practices across Operations Training, and partner with Labor and other cross functional teams. You will lead a team comprised of both hourly, non-union and hourly, union Cast Members at multiple locations across Walt Disney World. You will report to the Regional Training Manager.
What You Will Do
Manage Cast Member onboarding training observing the training progression standards (training schedules, property orientation, on-the-job training)
Oversee the daily delivery of all job-specific training (technical, regulatory, train the trainer, updates) ensuring alignment with learning performance models and an understanding of the uniqueness of each line of business and contractual requirements to ensure implementation
Partner with Operations Leaders to assess training needs and determine strategic learning solutions that support both guest experience and business objectives
Oversee the daily delivery of site orientations and welcome sessions
Observe/audit facilitators delivering training at the site level
Plan and communicate training (regulatory, safety, recertification, and ongoing updates)
Partner with Coordinators of Training and Training Liaisons within the Operation to support the property level trainer designation process (recruit and develop Disney Trainers)
Promote a "Guest service excellence" approach for all client interactions and product support
Lead with a process improvement approach to improve connection points, process, and product
Collect and analyze data to support performance improvement recommendations and solutions
Required Qualifications & Skills
• 3+ years of experience leading an operation
• Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies
• Project management skills including defining detailed project timelines and achievable, measurable tasks
• Experience identifying opportunities for improvement
• Handle confidential and regulatory information discreetly
• Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts and holidays
Education
Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $68,600.00-$91,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
