Job Summary:

This role is on the Operational Services and Strategy team in the Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) organization. RCES Cast Members work on behalf of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) designing, operating, and maintaining CFTOD-owned utility systems across the Walt Disney World (WDW) Resort.

The Planner will have responsibilities including contractual processes, purchasing, and accounts payable. This person will ensure CFTOD and WDW Contract/Procurement Guidelines are being adhered to for contract development, bid and award, change orders, and invoicing.

This role reports to the RCES Business Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage initiation of new service agreements and maintain database of existing agreements.

  • Assist in drafting formal Bids for services, issue Letter of Interest (LOI), Request For Proposal (RFP), and Request For Quote (RFQ) packages to support internal Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams.

  • Attend Pre-Bid/Post-Bid meetings, as needed.

  • Initiate Work Orders and change orders, ensuring all associated supporting documentation is verified and accounted for.

  • Manage costs and project budgets by reviewing and processing invoices in alignment with contractual payment terms, while also researching financial discrepancies.

  • Prepare financial expenditure reports, as needed, in order to ensure consistent accuracy of Operations team service agreement budgets.

  • Review change orders and historic spending reports to ensure reasonable and accurate amounts for approval.

  • Assist with preparing ad-hoc reports as needed for various stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Construction, Contract Management, Project Management, or Utility Operations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, purchasing, and contract management.

  • Effective communication and facilitation skills in fast-paced, multifaceted environments.

  • Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking, and planning skills.

  • Ability to act as a liaison between several cross-functional teams, including senior management, when required.

  • Effective in relationship building between multiple diverse teams, including internal and external partners, vendors, and contractors.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four years of applicable experience in Engineering, Construction, Contract Management, Project Management, or Utility Operations.

  • Demonstrated experience with estimating and bidding processes.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Management, Project Management, or equivalent experience is required.

The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $75,700.00 to $101,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
