Our mission within Commercial Strategy is to bridge gaps across all lines of business, delivering outcome-focused analyses that lead to clear and actionable recommendations. We collaborate directly with key decision-makers who shape Walt Disney World’s product, strategy, and commercial activations. Through our insights, we enhance Disney offerings, ultimately improving the Guest Experience.

What You Will Do

While each day will be different, with rotating priorities, the main themes include:

  • Commercial Storyteller: Uncover and translate insights to support WDW sitewide priorities. Effectively communicate to a diverse executive audience through polished presentations and strong business acumen.
  • Thoughtful Integrator: Authentically partner across the company to forge new business relationships. Lead the coordination and development of cohesive stories and an executive commercial steering committee forum that provides clear direction on how the Commercial team can impact the ever-changing business and enhance the Guest Experience.
  • Data Strategist: Leverage commercial data assets to support partners across WDW. Translate freeform ideas and business questions into well-defined, structured solutions. This involves closely partnering with commercial data scientists to link the optimal data assets to the appropriate analytical techniques, ultimately arriving at a holistic perspective and actionable solution.

Some more specifics for the role include:

  • Work closely with Walt Disney World partner teams for advanced analytics support.
  • Ensure the analysis and recommended outcomes are structurally sound, backed-up with evidence and logic, and contain well-defined and documented assumptions.
  • Independently manage workload, providing updates on deliverables and value of work.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in business or analytical-related roles
  • Ability to draw inferences, quantify uncertainty and limitations of analysis
  • Time-management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple requests and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and craft concise recommendations and decks
  • Demonstrated relationship skills
  • Familiarity and understanding industry leading tools for business intelligence (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on an analytics team
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World data
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World business processes

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Analytics related field with a preference for advanced degree(s)
