Job Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst is a key member of the team responsible for transforming complex data from our computer vision platforms into tangible operational improvements. The Data Platforms team designs and assists in deploying computer vision models to enhance safety and efficiency across Disney’s Parks worldwide. We are looking for a senior analyst who can evaluate our pipelines and data flows to discover innovative ways to optimize them—and who can apply sound project-management discipline so analysis, reporting, and stakeholder alignment scale as the program grows.

This role is about more than running reports: it is about uncovering the “why” behind the data. You will identify trends, cluster detection types, and analyze where the system is succeeding and where it is missing the mark (false positives and false negatives). You will serve as the bridge between the technical architecture and the project team, translating complex metrics into clear, actionable intelligence that improves the experience for both Guests and Cast Members. You will also partner with engineering and program leadership on timelines, dependencies, and communications so insights land on time and drive decisions.

You will report to the Manager, Data Platforms.

This is an estimated 15-month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Drive operational insights: Lead the analysis of data from computer vision platforms to identify patterns in behavior and spot emerging trends across a global portfolio

  • Analyze system accuracy: Dig into false positives and false negatives to understand why the system is triggering (or not triggering) and provide clear feedback to technical teams to help tune the models

  • Manage technical pipelines: Support the end-to-end data pipeline, ensuring that data flows correctly from the edge (cameras/sensors) through processing layers and into analytics dashboards

  • Systems support: Assist engineering teams in the deployment and maintenance of container-based applications in Linux environments, including working with Kubernetes (K8s) and troubleshooting at a support level—escalating to software engineers for deep infrastructure changes—so the platform stays scalable and stable across sites

  • Translate data into action: Turn complex raw data into simple, actionable intelligence that leadership can use to make informed decisions

  • Build predictive indicators: Develop ways to spot warning signs in the data so our organization can move from reacting to events toward predicting and preventing them

  • Executive communication: Create and maintain dashboards and briefings for leadership on how systems are performing and where our organization should focus attention

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with ground-level operations, data scientists, and engineers so the data matches the reality of the physical environment

  • Support global growth: Apply project management principles (planning, tracking, documentation, stakeholder updates) to build a scalable way of analyzing data so that as the program expands to more sites, our ability to track performance keeps pace

  • Root cause analysis: When a trend or issue is spotted, lead the effort to find the root cause and suggest practical fixes

  • Closed-loop improvement: Analyze a problem, recommend a change, and verify whether that change improved outcomes—so tuning and process updates are evidence-based

  • Maintain data integrity: Handle sensitive operational and Guest information with a high level of discretion and accuracy

Basic Qualifications/You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, project analysis, or a technical analytical role

  • Proven experience working with data generated by computer vision or machine learning models

  • Comfort working in a Linux environment, including experience with containers (Docker) and working with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (K8s) in partnership with platform or engineering teams

  • Strong ability to look at a large set of data and find the story or trend inside it

  • Proficiency in data tools for visualization and analysis (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, or R)

  • Expert in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas, with strong SQL skills for working with large datasets.

  • Ability to independently analyze data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Proven ability to create clear, visually compelling presentations and tailor messaging for global audiences, including navigating language barriers and working with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience presenting complex findings to a range of audiences, including technical teams, operations leaders, and internal and external executives—effectively simplifying content for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak comfortably with both

  • Ability to manage your own time and priorities across time zones and competing demands

  • A high level of attention to detail—especially when dealing with data that drives critical operational decisions

  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to domestic and international partner locations (including APAC and EMEA) to support stakeholder alignment and business initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the lifecycle of computer vision model deployment (training, tuning, and validation)

  • Experience with VBA & Macros in Excel is a plus

  • Previous experience in a project management capacity, specifically managing the delivery of technical insights

  • Experience building lead indicators (metrics that predict an event) rather than only lag indicators (metrics that report what has already happened)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Information Technology, or related field required
