Join the Distribution Services team and lead operations that move merchandise across Walt Disney World® Resort(WDW) and Disney Cruise Line®(DCL). As the Senior Manager, Distribution Services – Merchandise, you’ll oversee warehouse and logistics functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery every day.
You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional partners, frontline leaders, and executives to align operational needs and keep workflows running smoothly. You’ll support key technology and automation initiatives and provide field‑level guidance during project execution. If you excel at leading teams and driving operational results in a fast‑paced environment, this role is for you.
This position reports to the Director, Distribution Services.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team supporting merchandise distribution for WDW and DCL.
- Oversee daily operations in a 24/7 warehouse environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Support planning and execution of technology, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, operations, labor representatives, and business leaders to align on priorities.
- Optimize workflows, documentation, compliance, and performance standards.
- Conduct on‑site reviews to support leaders and monitor operational execution.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead key initiatives including process improvements and major system upgrades.
- Maintain operational records and performance reporting.
- Support troubleshooting of distribution systems and processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, or warehouse environments.
- Strong understanding of distribution operations, warehouse workflows, and automation.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
- Experience with technology‑driven operations and data‑supported decision‑making.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Leadership experience in unionized operations.
- Experience supporting multi‑location operations.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process‑improvement certification.
- Experience in merchandise distribution or product handling.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
