Job Summary:

The Talent & Growth Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for defining and delivering enterprise‑wide talent strategies for leaders and employees across segments and regions—spanning talent management, leadership development, executive experiences, skills foundations, performance, potential, and succession planning.

The Senior Manager, Talent & Growth is part of our Corporate People & Culture team, and plays a pivotal role responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide talent solutions that align with The Walt Disney Company's evolving people strategy. This role partners closely across Talent & Growth, People & Culture and business segments to design and deliver integrated, data-driven programs and experiences that strengthen our ability to know, grow, and prepare talent across the company – while enabling consistent, scalable practices across all segments.

Responsibilities:

Innovate & Sustain Existing People Leader Experiences:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Leadership F.I.R.S.T. learning journey (under development), a People Leader resource site, and quarterly Disney Leadership Essentials (DLE) programs
  • Partner with and provide direction to internal COE teams and segment partners for the successful facilitation and delivery of key programs
  • Facilitate learning sessions and train-the-trainer (TTT) sessions
  • Oversee multilingual, multi-format versions and manage program materials across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and the DLE TTT Center
  • Proactively identify updates to programs, maintain governance, version control, TTT processes, and facilitator readiness globally
  • Develop annual planning efforts and budget, including vendor relationships / management
  • Lead periodic content updates and integration with other first-line leader learning offerings
  • Leverage metrics and analyze feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of training and implement improvements

Engagement of Stakeholders & Partners

  • Engage and develop about 35 enterprise facilitators and partners (domestically and globally)
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with segment and regional learning partners, and influence outcomes
  • Ensure consistency while meeting segment-specific needs
  • Run quarterly community meetings for stakeholder engagement, shared best practices, and continuous improvement

Develop Leadership Development Programs

  • Consult with segment and enterprise leaders to understand development and performance needs of different talent pools and leadership populations across the enterprise
  • Design and lead the development of practical, high impact programs and relevant performance support tools for different levels of leadership (manager and executive populations) with the support of the COE design team
  • Serve as a Leadership Development subject matter expert and build deep knowledge and understanding of the business to proactively design and develop learning solutions

  • Provide continuous coaching and feedback, setting clear expectations, ensuring accountability, and rewarding accomplishments
  • Develop self and others, supporting career aspirations by encouraging the team to express their ideas, explore their interests, and stretch current skillsets and mindsets
  • Demonstrate care and compassion, creating an environment where the team feels supported when addressing their concerns
  • Create an environment where Disney values are experienced, aligning actions to words, encouraging creative problem-solving, and ensuring everyone's voice is heard

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in related HR/talent fields
  • Experience consulting and leading cross-functional initiatives, including stakeholder engagement
  • Track record of developing and delivering high impact leadership programs for manager and executive populations
  • Understanding and application of instructional design principles
  • Proficiency in strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong relationship management and business acumen
  • Excellent consulting and diagnostic questioning skills
  • Ability to tell stories with data and communicate effectively
  • Proven program/project leadership skills
  • Ability to facilitate virtually and in person, adapting approach and style to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity while leading a team through constant change
  • Previous leadership experience and the ability to share real-life examples of lessons learned as a leader

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in global/matrixed environments

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field

Preferred Education:

  • Advanced degree


The hiring range for this position in California is $168,200.00 to $205,400.00 per year and in New York is $176,200.00 to $215,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
