Disney’s Senior Workforce Analyst applies technical, statistical, and analytical skills to develop efficient tools and provide analysis that informs business decisions for Labor Management. The analysis will be done for multiple purposes including operational projects, strategic projects, ad hoc requests, identification of root causes, and process redesigns. Assignments are project-based and will change and evolve. Business partners include Global Human Resource Operations (GHRO), HR Information Systems, Labor Systems, Labor Strategy & Analytics, Operations Training, and Casting to identify process improvements and develop creative solutions to meet calculated labor needs.
A Senior Workforce Analyst must possess attention to detail, passion, and curiosity to understand the “why” behind the performance, and the ability to create and support a story based on quantitative findings.
The selected candidate will report to the Manager, Workforce Transformation & Optimization. In addition, this role will have direct reports.
This is a Temporary Assignment/Project Hire with no guarantee of permanent placement.
You Will:
Work with partners to analyze data to identify data issues and develop solutions
Provide quick and reasonable approaches and effort estimates during project planning
Conduct accurate analyses to calculate impacts for assigned projects
Project manage projects and workstreams of large projects, including effective communication and escalation
Contribute to design, build test plans, and conduct testing for new analytical tools developed by team members
Provide leadership to Forecasters in day-to-day analysis and support work including analysis validation, issue resolution, client support, operational monitoring, and documentation standards
Consistently provide mentoring and ongoing coaching and development to Forecasters
Drive complex work with many unknowns, new content, and multiple stakeholders
You Have:
Validated creativity to approach problems in new, innovative ways
Understanding of mathematical and statistical analysis methods and real-world application
Experience analyzing and joining large data sets using multiple data sources
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation and analysis tools
Ability to translate analytical results into clear, story-based presentations to share with non-technical and technical audiences at all levels
Attention to detail experience demonstrating validated analytical and technical skill
Demonstrated the ability to meet multiple deadlines and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks or projects at once
Ability to handle confidential information
Required Qualifications:
Expertise in Excel performing comparative analysis utilizing tools and formulas
Experience with analysis of large data sets
Experience in Tableau
2+ years of salaried experience
Prior leadership/mentorship experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SQL, MicroStrategy
Experience in Microsoft Power Suite
Required education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or relevant work experience
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or relevant work experience
